Each series is its own world — a question I lived with for months or years. Some are landscapes that wouldn't let me go. Some are portraits that started as one face and became a dozen. You can wander them in any order; they don't expect you to be an insider.

A short hello.
I'm Anna. I paint under the name Astilaart because the work needed its own name to grow into.
I'm interested in the slow things — light through a window in October, the colour of a room you used to live in, faces that look like someone you almost remember. I work mostly in watercolour and mixed media, and I let series take as long as they need.
If you've just moved, or just made a room yours, or you've been quietly looking for "your" artist for a while — I hope something here clicks.
